Join an innovative medical device OEM in the Detroit metro that that is looking for a Software Project Manager. This position would lead the planning, coordination, and execution of software application projects from concept through release for life-saving capital systems. Key Responsibilities • Drive end-to-end execution of software projects, including feasibility analysis, prototyping, development, documentation, and verification/validation activities. • Foster collaboration among program leaders, project managers, software developers, testers, and risk management teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery. • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to manage dependencies and maintain effective communication throughout the project lifecycle. • Track project progress, oversee software configuration management, ensure timely documentation deliverables, and escalate risks or impediments as needed. • Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing regular updates and comprehensive status reports on software projects. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. • Minimum 5 years of experience in medical device or other regulated software development. • At least 3 years of proven experience managing full software development lifecycle projects for electromechanical devices/systems in an Agile environment. • Hands-on experience in product development environments involving software and firmware integration. • Familiarity with manufacturing transfer, service deployment, and post-market surveillance processes is a plus. • Experience with C# and Azure DevOps is a plus This position provides a great opportunity to influence the development of cutting-edge medical technology.
