Company Description We are currently hiring on behalf of a market leader in the domain of thermal management systems, offering solutions to Automotive, Commercial Truck and Off Highway markets. The business is an ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 certified company manufacturing heat exchanger and fluid cooling components for the automotives and commercial vehicles. Role Description This is a full-time position for a Purchasing Manager with an emphasis on thermal management component and raw materials. The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for sourcing and procuring materials, negotiating with suppliers, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring cost-effective purchase of necessary goods. The individual in this role will also need to collaborate with various departments, adhere to budgets, and maintain accurate records of purchases and pricing. Key Responsibilities 1. Develop commodity and supplier strategies. 2. Lead procurement efforts to identify centralized procurement opportunities, reduce costs, improve supplier performance and improve operational efficiency. 3. Develop the most suitable supply base for the company in terms of supplier technical capabilities, quality stability, price competitiveness, production capacity and overall business fit. 4. Lead bidding, analyze bids and negotiate with suppliers. 5. Responsible for the conception, review, approval and execution of ongoing cost reduction projects, apply project management tools and techniques, and collaborate with internal and external parties as needed. 6. Monitor commodity market trends against supplier pricing and apply relevant knowledge to achieve the lowest cost for the company. 7. Develop and execute the most suitable processes for global and North American strategic procurement functions in accordance with global requirements and processes. Maintain data integrity in electronic systems. 8. Manage and improve the overall performance of global and North American base suppliers to better support the global procurement activities of the company group. Qualifications • Bachelor degree or above. • Over 3 years of strategic procurement experience in multinational companies, withing the automotive industry, for HVAC/Thermal Management products. • A technical background in HVAC/TMS would be highly beneficial. • Located within close commute of Houston or Detroit.
