Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Rate Companies is seeking an Offshore Vendor Manager to oversee and manage vendors that provide offshore staffing support across Rate’s operations. This role is responsible for evaluating vendor contractual obligations, operational capabilities, compliance with federal and state regulations, and adherence to Rate’s internal compliance standards. Responsibilities • Establish a short-, mid-, and long-term strategy for Rate’s use of offshore vendors • Build and maintain an operational framework governing offshore vendor capabilities, oversight, due diligence, quality expectations, compliance requirements, and utilization • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities to effectively leverage offshore contractors • Develop scopes of work, review licensing requirements, and participate in contract negotiations for services • Oversee onboarding and offboarding of vendor contractors, ensuring proper system access and role assignments • Work with vendors and internal teams to establish scorecards measuring quality, productivity, and efficiency of offshore staff • Ensure all offshore activities comply with applicable federal and state financial regulations, including SAFE Act, GLBA, BSA/AML, FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, and CFPB standards • Monitor regulatory changes impacting offshore work and revise statements of work as necessary • Conduct routine cost-benefit analyses to quantify cost savings by task type • Address and mediate issues related to vendor performance or adherence to agreed-upon standards Skills • Bachelor's degree required • 7+ years of mortgage industry experience with a focus on compliance and operations • Extensive regulatory knowledge applicable to mortgage lenders, brokers, and servicing entities • Experience managing offshore vendors or third-party staffing relationships • Ability to evaluate operational performance, identify roadblocks, and provide actionable recommendations to internal stakeholders, vendors, and executive leadership • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to research and apply complex regulatory requirements to offshore activities • Experience preparing and presenting materials to executive leadership • Ability to travel to offshore vendor sites for oversight and due diligence Benefits • Eligibility to participate in a company-sponsored 401(k) • Vacation benefits • Eligibility for medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug benefits • Flexible benefits (e.g., healthcare and/or dependent day care flexible spending accounts) • Life insurance and death benefits • Critical care insurance • Personal accidental insurance • Commuter benefits • Pet insurance • Certain time off and leave of absence benefits • Well-being benefits (e.g., employee assistance program) • Other supplemental benefits (e.g. legal planning assistance; identity theft protection; pet insurance; wellness resources) Company Overview • Rate is a mortgage company that provides mortgage-related services and solutions.
