Full Description

We are seeking a highly skilled WebOps Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who loves solving technical challenges, thrives in a fast-paced digital environment, and can confidently step in to support or fill in for the Manager of WebOps when needed. You’ll work closely with SEO, Content, Web, and Account Strategy teams to ensure client websites run smoothly, securely, and efficiently. This role serves as a technical backbone for the department - supporting migrations, launches, troubleshooting issues, coordinating with vendors, building internal tooling, and ensuring high-quality delivery across all active client sites. Responsibilities Technical Operations & Site Management Support and lead WordPress migrations, including DNS updates, hosting configuration, SSL provisioning, and quality assurance. Troubleshoot issues in real-time across plugins, themes, caching layers, DNS, hosting control panels, WordPress admin, Google tools, and marketing scripts. Set up, configure, and maintain tools such as WP Engine, GoDaddy, Cloudflare, NitroPack, Gravity Forms, Contact Form 7, Akismet, CallRail, and others. Handle escalations from internal teams for urgent website bugs, outages, form failures, tracking issues, and performance incidents. Maintain documentation and standard operating procedures for repeatable tasks. Performance & Security Implement and audit Core Web Vitals, page speed optimizations, and site stability initiatives. Monitor and address security concerns including spam filtering, firewall configuration, brute-force protection, and plugin vulnerabilities. Ensure plugin/theme updates are safe, compatible, and tested before deployment. Support & Collaboration Serve as a day-to-day technical resource for internal teams. Help manage and mentor junior team members. Assist in ticket prioritization and workload planning for the WebOps team. Coordinate with outside partners and client-side technical contacts. Fill-In / Backup Leadership Responsibilities Temporarily step in for the Manager of WebOps as needed. Represent WebOps in cross-department meetings. Make informed decisions on task prioritization, technical escalations, and emergency responses. Review deliverables and ensure quality standards are upheld. 3–5+ years experience with WordPress, hosting management, or technical website operations. Strong understanding of DNS, CDNs, caching, performance optimization, and website architecture. Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues across technical stacks. Familiarity with GA4, GTM, CallRail, GSC, and ad tracking pixels. Exceptional communication skills. Familiarity with SEO fundamentals is a plus. Preferred Skills Experience with Cloudflare rules and redirects. Experience with WP Engine or similar hosts. Ability to read server logs. Comfortable with basic scripting. Experience with Core Web Vitals and performance metrics. Experience with ACF, Elementor, Gutenberg, and custom WordPress setups. Who You Are A proactive problem-solver. Comfortable making decisions.
