job summary: We are seeking highly skilled Embedded Software Engineers to join our team supporting the full life cycle development and integration of the VMS SW for F-18 aircraft. This critical project involves developing and integrating new Control Laws (CLAWs) for the Automatic Ground Collision Avoidance System (AGCAS) on the E/F/G Super Hornet. We are looking for people that can start contributing immediately. • The ideal candidates will have significant experience in C development for avionics systems preferable within a VMS, FMS or FMC environments. We are looking for self-starting individuals with experience Jr, Mid, Sr levels • This project requires people with Secret Clearance (preferable active, but interim or expired within the last 2 years would be considered). For immediate review and consideration, please send resume to jomarie.mercado@randstaddigital.com location: Saint Louis, Missouri job type: Contract salary: $50 - 100 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: • These engineers will be supporting the full development and integration of new Control Laws (CLAWs) for the AGCAS on the E/F/G Super Hornet. • The AGCAS is part of the VMS software which integrates flight control laws, aircraft surface command, aircraft sensor signal processing and subsystem control to ensure controlled flight. • The software developed is in the application layer software but understanding of low-level infrastructure software will be required to collaborate with hardware/firmware vendors. • Collaborate effectively with team leads and other engineers. #LI-JM4 #LI-Remote qualifications: • The perfect candidates will have a bachelor degree or better in SW, EE, or other STEM domain in the software development for avionics systems (preferable VMS or similar). • Proven experience in debugging and integrating SW in avionics systems (VMS, Flight Controls, Flight Management, Utilities Management or similar) on aircrafts. • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. • DoD Security Clearance. skills: • Proficiency in C programming. • Familiarity with developing embedded real-time embedded software in avionics environments (flight controls or VMS is a plus). • Familiarity working with Real-time Operating Systems (RTOS).
