job summary: Join a privately owned chemistry manufacturing company that has been in business for over 40 years as a Sr. Hazard Communication Specialist. This role leads as the technical expert for global hazard communication and chemical hygiene. This is a direct hire opportunity with a company that has an excellent reputation and job security. This role is bonus eligible, offers hybrid work and offers relocation assistance for qualified candidates. location: Portland, Oregon job type: Permanent salary: $95,000 - 115,000 per year work hours: 8am to 4pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: • Author, review, and approve safety data sheets and labels according to environmental & regulatory comliance • Troubleshoot SDS/Label software issues & lead system improvements and data retrieval processes • Support team in chemical hygiene duties • Manage REACH filings and international registrations & oversee importation procedures for new chemicals • Work with internal teams to document substances & provide regulatory information for raw materials in new product development • Conduct EHS training and mentor lower level HazCom staff Qualifications • 5+ years of HazCom/EHS experience in a chemical manufacturing environment • OSHA Certification • Knowledge of the TSCA Benefits • Medical/Dental/Vision • PTO & Holiday Pay • 401K qualifications: • Experience level: Experienced • Minimum 5 years of experience • Education: Bachelors (required) skills: • Safety Equal Opportunity Employer: Race, Color, Religion, Sex, Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, National Origin, Age, Genetic Information, Disability, Protected Veteran Status, or any other legally protected group status.
