Full Description

As a Senior Software Staff Engineer, you will help define and implement next-generation test automation and measurement platforms and applications. This highly collaborative role involves partnering with global engineering teams, product leadership, and field organizations to ensure architectural consistency, scalability, and enable platform adoption. You will work across a polyglot microservices architecture using multiple programming languages and technologies. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain microservices across multiple technology stacks. Define system architecture, design principles, and development standards for scalable software platforms, container orchestration, and observability solutions. Collaborate within a global organization to ensure alignment and shared ownership of architectural decisions. Lead technical evaluations for new technologies and product initiatives, providing guidance through reference implementations and proof-of-concepts. Act as a trusted advisor to product and engineering leadership on architecture trade-offs and long-term technical strategy. Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical decision-making. Contribute to improving development processes and best practices Debug and resolve complex technical issues across distributed systems. Mentor engineers globally, fostering a culture of innovation, technical excellence, and collaboration. Act as a technical liaison between executive leadership, engineering teams, and external partners or vendors. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 8+ years of experience in software architecture and distributed systems design, including building and scaling modern software systems. Prior experience in product-focused software organizations. 5+ years of professional software development experience. Strong proficiency in at least two of the following: TypeScript/JavaScript (Angular 14+), Java (Spring Boot 3.x, Java 17+), Python (pandas, numpy), C# (.NET 6+, ASP.NET Core), Go Deep experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes/Docker). Proven experience designing and maintaining microservices and REST APIs, with message-driven architectures (RabbitMQ, AMQP), NoSQL databases (MongoDB), and clean code practices. Experience deploying applications to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP) and optimizing performance. Solid understanding of security protocols (OAuth2, JWT, SSL/TLS) and secure coding practices. Good communication skills; able to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. Experience mentoring global teams and influencing cross-functional engineering groups. Preferred Qualifications Exposure to AI/ML product development, familiarity with AI infrastructure, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), observability tooling. Experience designing scalable, high-performance platforms for enterprise customers. Knowledge of distributed caching, service discovery, and load balancing. Test and Measurement domain expertise: instrument control protocols (VISA, SCPI), understanding of signal analysis, waveform processing, or measurement algorithms Programming experience in Rust.
