We’re Hiring! Our key client is hiring and looking to add a Senior Project Manager – IT & Cybersecurity to their team. Pay Rate: $95.50/hour on W2 Work Type: Hybrid - Houston, TX 77002 Work Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST Duration: 5-month contract with possible extension/conversion Job Overview: • The Senior Project Manager will lead and deliver complex, high-impact technology initiatives across the enterprise. • This includes large-scale cybersecurity initiatives, custom software development, SaaS implementations, system integrations, proof-of-concept deployments, and enterprise system enhancements. • The role is responsible for end-to-end project lifecycle management, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Key Responsibilities: Project Leadership & Execution • Lead and manage end-to-end delivery of complex projects (cybersecurity, IAM, cloud security, compliance, and risk mitigation). • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and stakeholder alignment to ensure on-time, in-scope delivery. • Implement PMO standards, governance, templates, and toolkits. • Drive projects to completion with high quality and stakeholder satisfaction. Business Alignment & Stakeholder Management • Partner with engineering, security, IT, HR, finance, and business stakeholders to align goals with strategic outcomes. • Serve as liaison between business and technology, translating technical requirements into business outcomes. • Maintain project scope and ensure alignment with business case throughout lifecycle. • Work with senior leadership on scope, strategy, and success criteria. • Ensure alignment with impacted technology and business areas. Communication & Reporting • Monitor and report performance via dashboards, KPIs, and executive summaries. • Foster collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement. • Produce project documentation: status reports, risk logs, change requests. • Communicate effectively at all levels, from technical teams to executives. Qualifications: Education • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field (preferred). • High School Diploma or GED (minimum requirement). Work Experience • 6+ years of project management experience, with success in leading complex cybersecurity projects. • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in fast-paced environments. • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, endpoint protection, and project lifecycle methodologies. • Ability to use hybrid approaches as needed. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities • Experience supporting cybersecurity teams and driving clarity in ambiguous environments. • Skilled in facilitating workshops and post-mortems. • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, risks, and best practices. • Familiarity with tools: SailPoint, OKTA, Oracle HCM, and cloud security/enterprise tools. • Experience with custom software development, SaaS, and system integrations. • Proficiency with project management tools (JIRA, Monday.com, MS Project, Smartsheet). • Excellent communication skills with ability to present to senior leadership and executives. • Strong leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. • Collaborative, adaptable, detail-oriented, and able to navigate shifting priorities.
