When you join us as a Business Intelligence Team Lead, you will be joining a dedicated team of professionals who deliver quality, value, and access in the 21st century and align all stakeholders- patients, providers, payors, and regulators to achieve the best clinical outcomes. You Will • Lead, mentor, and guide a team of BI Engineers and Report Analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and accountability. • Conduct performance reviews, set goals, and provide constructive feedback to team members. • Develop training plans and programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of the BI Services team. • Promote strong data literacy initiatives within the team and across business units. • Oversee the design and development of BI solutions, including reports, dashboards, and data visualizations, that align with business requirements and enable data-driven decision-making. • Ensure that datasets in the "Gold Layer" are optimized for querying and performance within the BI environment. • Work closely with business users to translate data needs into actionable reporting and dashboard requirements. • Collaborate with Data Engineers and Data Architects to ensure BI solutions align with the overall data infrastructure. • Develop and maintain documentation of BI solutions, including technical specifications and user manuals. • Monitor and optimize BI solution performance to ensure it meets business requirements and SLAs. • Implement and refine query optimization strategies within the BI layer to reduce latency and improve efficiency. • Ensure that BI solutions are secure, compliant, and adhere to data governance policies and procedures, particularly regarding the "Gold Layer" of data. • Monitor for data quality issues within reports and dashboards and work with upstream data engineering teams for investigation and resolution. • Support the implementation of role-based access controls for customized reporting views. • Evaluate and recommend new BI technologies and tools to enhance BI solutions and support evolving business requirements. • Partner with stakeholders to identify areas for BI improvements and provide recommendations. • Support the self-service BI initiatives by empowering business users with accessible and trusted data. You Are • Genuinely passionate about customer service and exercise sound judgement and an ability to remain professional in all situations • Able to demonstrate high level of attention to detail, excellent organizational skills and have the ability to multitask • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, have a knack for prioritizing work with a structured approach, and enjoy providing world class customer service To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. • 5+ years of experience in BI development, including extensive experience with BI tools such as Power BI and Looker. • Proven experience leading or mentoring a team of BI professionals. • Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying and transformation within the BI layer. • Strong knowledge of data management best practices, data integration patterns, and data quality principles. • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for business stakeholders. • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. • Experience with SSMS, SSAS, SSRS, and Self-Service BI tools are highly recommended. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a passion for learning new technologies and staying up-to-date with industry trends.
