Minimum 5 years IT software project management experience, PMP certification required, experience with waterfall SDLC and Microsoft Project, ability to manage complex technical projects.
Job Title: Sr Strategic Project Manager Location: 4902 N Biltmore Lane, Madison, WI 53718 USA Duration: 24 Months Position Details Location: 100% remote (option) Hours: Must work Central Time Zone hours (8 AM 5 PM) The migration work will include redesigning, standardizing, and rewriting ~140 existing integrations. The project s very nature brings with it layers of technical complexity. This project has impacts on many other IT software applications/systems and will require a PM who can successfully identify, plan and drive work across multiple IT teams (and systems) including teams who may be resistant to the change or lack resource availability to support the project. While experience managing system integration projects could be beneficial it is not required. In fact, we prefer to focus on securing a strong, well-rounded Technology PM who has a robust set of experiences managing complex, large-scale, high-dollar, multi-year Technology/IT software implementation/upgrade projects using waterfall SDLC from start to finish. A background in IT beyond project management is highly preferred, as this role requires both technical fluency and strategic insight. In addition to leading project execution, the PM should be eager to understand the business and technical functions that underpin the projects they manage. We believe successful project management is more than task execution it s about turning vision into reality. This means rolling up your sleeves to build and lead plans, proactively manage risks, and resolve issues as they arise. The PM will play a key role in ensuring project success by navigating risks and issues to drive successful outcomes. Summary of Required Project Management Experience & Skills Successfully managed complex, large-scale, high-dollar, multi-year Technology/IT software implementation projects from start to finish. Strong history of managing software projects using the waterfall SDLC methodology. Ability to identify, plan and drive work across multiple IT teams and systems. Ability to navigate technical complexities, setbacks and delays. Experience managing system integration projects could be beneficial but is not required. Securing a good, qualified candidate is more important that a PM with integration project experience. Minimum of 5-years of IT software Project Management experience required. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required. Use of Microsoft Project.
