Business Central Manager Location: Onsite – Argyle, TX Industry: Manufacturing Contract: 12 months with the possibility of 24 months Role Overview We are seeking a Business Central Manager to take full ownership of a heavily customized Microsoft Business Central (BC) environment. This role focuses on stabilizing, optimizing, and enabling long-term scalability for MRP, inventory, production, and administrative workflows. Key Responsibilities. • System Ownership: Manage and maintain the Business Central environment, ensuring stability and daily operational continuity. • Troubleshooting: Diagnose, repair, and document issues in a customized BC instance prone to frequent breakages. • Process Standardization: Establish clear documentation and standardized workflows across finance, inventory, production, and administrative functions. • User Training: Educate end-users and department teams on best practices, navigation, and proper system utilization. • Optimization: Enhance MRP, Inventory, Assembly, and Production modules to accurately reflect business operations. • Production Planning: Improve scheduling and deliver reliable visibility into “what can be built tomorrow.” • Performance & Data Integrity: Evaluate and improve system performance, data accuracy, and workflow efficiency. • Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with operations leadership to align manufacturing processes with BC configuration. • Reporting & Analytics: Support dashboards and reporting for planning and decision-making. • Vendor Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact between internal teams and external BC support or developers. Requirements • Proven experience in Microsoft Business Central administration, configuration, and troubleshooting. • Prior exposure to customized BC environments in manufacturing settings. • Strong knowledge of MRP, Inventory, Assemblies, Production Orders, and planning workflows. • Ability to diagnose and resolve issues in complex, non-standard BC setups. • Solid understanding of manufacturing operations, scheduling, and process flow. • Experience in process documentation, user training, and system adoption improvement. • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills. • Fully onsite availability in the DFW area (Argyle, TX) with hands-on involvement in daily operations.
