Their platform offers seamless banking, corporate cards with cashback, treasury solutions, and automation tools, enabling startups from seed stage to growth stage to scale efficiently. The Strategic Partner / Account Executive will lead efforts to research, identify, and acquire mid-market clients through self-generated leads and strategic partnerships. Working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, this highly visible role will directly impact revenue growth and client satisfaction, while promoting the adoption of the company’s differentiated financial technology solutions. Key Responsibilities • Act as the primary point of contact for business development and client acquisition within the San Francisco market. • Generate new business opportunities by identifying and prospecting mid-market businesses (SMBs with $20M+ annual revenue). • Build and maintain strong relationships with founders, C-Suite executives, and key stakeholders to maximize account retention and identify upselling or cross-selling opportunities. • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform business development strategies. • Collaborate with Product, Client Success, and Sales Development teams to ensure solutions align with client needs. • Deliver persuasive presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations to highlight the value of the platform. • Monitor sales activities, market trends, and competitor activity, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement. • Attend 1–3 in-person networking events per week to represent the company and expand professional networks. • Support a smooth sales cycle from initial engagement to deal closure and client onboarding. Qualifications & Experience • Undergraduate degree or equivalent professional experience. • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a full-cycle B2B sales professional, ideally in fintech, selling to SMBs or mid-market clients. • Proven track record selling business banking or credit card products. • Strong local network and experience in cold calling, prospecting, and hunting new business. • Experience managing complex sales processes involving multiple stakeholders, including C-Suite executives. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation capabilities. • Proficiency with sales tools such as Salesforce and LinkedIn Sales Navigator. • VC/PE experience or strong founder network is a plus. • Comfortable attending frequent in-person networking events and client meetups.
