Restructuring clients typically have failed to achieve strategic plans and goals, and, often, have limited capital and time to build and execute a new strategic and financial plan. Our projects are all highly structured and use teams made up of remote consultants who are domain experts. Consultants are compensated based on expertise and experience. Business Development Manager (Client Development – Openers) You will open new executive relationships with financial sponsors—General Partners/MDs, Operating Partners, Portfolio Company CEOs/CFOs, and family office principals—within our core sectors (media, technology, consumer). Working directly with the CEO and Head of Business Development, you will translate Quire’s strategy and POV into qualified first meetings. You are not responsible for negotiating or closing. Your mandate: research, target, and engage the right funds and principals; align on thesis fit and portfolio needs; and handoff warm conversations with crisp context, notes, and next steps. This is a premium opener role: rigorous research, precise writing, and discipline in sponsor mapping—zero spray-and-pray. This role requires close collaboration with senior executives. Candidates must consistently exhibit exceptional self-discipline and professionalism, using comprehensive data and thorough research to substantiate their strategies and inform decisions. You will play a pivotal role in translating executive vision into actionable strategies, ensuring alignment with the company's ambitious goals. We will pay above-market compensation to an individual who maintains the highest standards, has consummate professional expertise, and has mastered the use of AI technologies to maximize efficiency. Key Responsibilities: • Sponsor Mapping & ICP Definition: Build coverage maps across PE funds, family offices, and VCs (GP/MD, Operating Partners, relevant portfolio leaders). Segment by strategy (platform vs. add-on roll-ups, special situations, venture growth), fund stage, and sector theses. • Outbound & Sequencing (Quality > Volume) Write and run multi-channel sequences (email + LinkedIn + targeted warm intros) in a premium voice. Tailor messages to fund theses, portfolio triggers, and hold-period realities; reference case studies where relevant. • Thesis & Portfolio Alignment Identify sponsor pain points (portfolio transformation, bolt-on sourcing, carve-outs, restructuring, revenue acceleration). Propose sponsor-ready POVs and curated examples that fit their investment lens. • First Meetings & Briefing Kits Secure and prep intro calls for CEO/Head of BD. Draft briefing notes with hypothesis, trigger, stakeholders, desired outcomes, and potential portfolio intros. • Event & Network Leverage Convert panels, salon dinners, and selective sponsorships into targeted lists and meeting programs for sponsor principals and operating partners; follow up with tailored artifacts. • CRM & Reporting Keep immaculate CRM hygiene (roles, notes, next steps, timestamps). Report weekly on funnel health, learning, and sponsor feedback. • Handoff, Not Close Transition qualified conversations with full context. Stay engaged to support momentum; closing is owned by principals. KPIs: • New sponsor intros (per month/quarter) within ICP. • Qualified first meetings held (CEO/Head of BD present). • Conversion to next step (% of first meetings advancing). • Portfolio intros generated per sponsor relationship. • Time-to-first-meeting from initial contact. • Data quality (title accuracy, valid contacts, complete notes). Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s or relevant certifications a plus). • 3–5+ years opening relationships with financial sponsors (PE/VC/family offices) or sponsor-facing roles in advisory, banking, or B2B services. • Exceptional research and executive-grade writing; fluent in translating strategy into concise outreach aligned to fund theses and portfolio needs. • Professional persistence with GP/MDs and Operating Partners; strong judgment and discretion. • Tools: LinkedIn Sales Navigator, CRM (HubSpot/Salesforce); enrichment/databases such as PitchBook, Preqin, CapIQ, Crunchbase, Apollo/Lusha/Clearbit. • Strong presence on email/LinkedIn and in first-call settings; impeccable notes/briefs. • Familiarity with Quire’s case-study caliber work and premium brand standards. COMPENSATION (CONTRACT) $65–$75/hr, plus attribution bonuses for accepted introductions/qualified opportunities and a closed-won kicker tied to opportunities you originate (details provided in the offer). Securities-related compensation will comply with applicable broker-dealer requirements.
