Quindar Quindar builds modern, cloud-native satellite mission operations software with a simple mission: to operate satellites like servers. What You’ll Be Doing 👨‍💻👩‍💻 🛰 🛰 Architect, automate, test, deploy, and maintain a well-designed and highly available software infrastructure deployed in Kubernetes within cloud or on-premises environments. Implement practices to enable DevSecOps with a focus on security and compliance for SOC2, NIST 800-171, and FedRAMP Medium controls. You will own the Kubernetes deployment strategy and work with the software development team to ensure a successful architecture and software product. You will help develop secure ingress and egress to customer and vendor data centers in a multi and single-tenant environment. As the team is developing, you will also provide best practices for availability, latency, and performance of services. You will spend time working directly with Quindar’s customers to ensure successful architecture deployment to both cloud environments and offline or secure facilities while ensuring alignment to a clean infrastructure vision. You will be a part of the engineering team of frontend and backend engineers working in an Agile Scrum environment. Tech Skills: Expertise managing Kubernetes-based architecture and providing platform infrastructure in a production environment Strong proficiency developing Infrastructure as Code (IAC) solutions using Terraform or alternative tools Proficiency in Python and experience working with software teams developing distributed microservice software capabilities Working knowledge of monitoring tools such as New Relic, DataDog, Splunk, AWS CloudWatch or similar Familiarity with cloud services in AWS (preferred) / Azure / GCP and ability to make trades on cloud native vs self-hosted software capabilities Working knowledge of monitoring tools such as New Relic, DataDog, Splunk, AWS CloudWatch or similar Understanding of networking using VPN’s, NLB/ALB’s, HTTPS, TLS, and CDN Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, containerized applications, and serverless architecture Strong knowledge of designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting APIs services, distributed NoSQL and relational databases, caching systems, event-driven and multi-tier architectures Strong knowledge of task automation and CI/CD pipeline building, preferably with GitHub actions but not required Understanding of Unix/Linux operating systems Knowledge of cloud security best practices and cost-effective cloud architecture Use of identity and access management via Auth0 or Okta Familiarity with Git and GitHub or similar framework for version control Soft Skills: Deep technical analysis and troubleshooting skills Independent self-starter; able to complete projects on time with minimal guidance A high standard for software maintainability, quality, resilience, and performance Strong communications skills and ability to engage effectively across development teams, program management, and customers Background Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related field) 3+ years of professional experience as a reliability, systems, DevOps, infrastructure, or platform engineer Ability to obtain a security clearance (Secret/Top Secret) ITAR REQUIREMENTS: To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
