The MRB Mechanical Engineer will perform design engineering analysis of discrepant machined parts and analyze variations affecting part specifications. They will lead root cause corrective actions and collaborate with suppliers to implement necessary changes.
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline with at least 5 years of experience, particularly in the aerospace industry. Familiarity with manufacturing standards and FAA certification requirements is essential.

We have an immediate need for a Part Time Remote MRB Mechanical Engineer in support of our aerospace manufacturing activities. The primary focus is to disposition defects as scrap or rework as identified by Quality/MRB. What You will Do: Perform design engineering analysis of discrepant machined parts manufactured in an aerospace manufacturing facility. Analyze variations to part print specifications which affect part form, fit, and function. Author and maintain Technical Analysis Reports associated with the disposition of discrepant parts. Leads root cause corrective actions, develop KPI’s and reporting of status for performance metrics of MRB processing. Capture and document root cause analysis for verified discrepancies. Work with suppliers to identify and implement rework and manufacturing process changes. Execution within multiple services Develop work instructions to ensure repeatability Cross-functional teams Presentations and customer report generation and delivery Work Experience How You Will Get Here: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline with 5+ years experience Exposure to Aerospace Industry required Familiarity with industry manufacturing and processing standards required Knowledge of FAA certification requirements required Experience with GD&T a plus Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be a US Citizen Part time Remote> 15 hours per week.
