Genetics is a complex and rapidly evolving field. When deployed optimally, it holds great promise for better outcomes at lower cost, yet it also has the potential to drive up costs with limited benefits. Our customers need partners who can work collaboratively with them to unlock the potential of genetics. This role will enable Quest to become a trusted preferred partner in the genetic space with our clients by effectively communicating the advantages of partnering with Quest Advanced Diagnostics, working with both clinical and non-clinical decision makers, to find solutions and uncover opportunities across the West Region. This position reports to the VP Commercial for Quest's West Region and may be based remotely with the West region. Quest Diagnostics honors our service members and encourages veterans to apply. Equal Opportunity Employer: Race/Color/Sex/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity/Religion/National Origin/Disability/Vets or any other legally protected status. • Establish trusted relationships with decision makers within select customers in women’s health, oncology, and other related specialties with measurable goals around growth. • Establish and maintain relationships with decision makers and genetics departments in select hospitals, health systems, and large group practices. • Work with Commercial leaders to identify key opportunities to grow genetic testing business. • Support commercial team at customer presentations with genetics expertise to increase close rate. • In partnership with Commercial Team, execute on all sales stages to close new genetic testing business. • Proactively identify immediate genetics opportunities, coordinate selling strategy with commercial team. • Deliver presentations to a wide variety of audiences related to genetic testing, and respond to client questions on technical/clinical topics. • Focus on critical genetic CPT codes; support the negotiation of appropriate rates through education and value quantification and understand how those diagnostic tests influence cost of care in the care continuum. • Implement and consult for genetics on Value Based Contracts. • Eliminate barriers to payment (i.e., medical necessity, prior authorization, coding). • Alleviate need for Health Plans to contract with competitor boutique labs. • Influence Health Plan lab network requirements for genetic labs. • Achieve YoY revenue growth. • Resource to the Health Plan team and select, large regional Health Plans. • Serve as liaison to cross functional teams to enable a cohesive, impactful approach with clients. • Partner with Marketing on market research with Health Plans and LBMs around Genetic testing. • Partner with Maps to establish master list of genetic CPTs, pricing requirements, analyze genetic testing coverage denials. • Partner with Finance to understand top volume CPT codes. • Partner with Franchise teams on quantifying financial and outcomes data. • Collaborate with Marketing and Training to support the Quest West Region commercial organization in demonstrating the value of our entire genetics portfolio, beyond CPTs (Genetic Counselors, Precision Pathways, Pack Health, etc.). • Liaison between Quest and Health Plan Medical Directors to influence coverage policies and prior authorization requirements. Required Work Experience: • In-depth understanding and experience in genomic testing • Bachelor's degree required • Require PhD or Genetic Counseling Certification • Knowledge of genetic testing across specialties, including prenatal, oncology, neurology, and pediatrics • 5+ years of experience working with a Commercial Sales team and/or selling genetic testing preferred • Highly skilled at delivering presentations to various audiences, such as Genetic Counselors, clinicians, professional organizations, etc.
