About the Opportunity Queensway Carleton Hospital is seeking a dynamic and visionary physician leader to serve as Chief of Staff for QCH. Reporting directly to the QCH Board of Directors, the Chief of Staff provides strategic, operational, and medical leadership across the organization. This role oversees medical operations, human resource planning and physician credentialing, quality and patient safety, medical policy and by-law management and physician engagement, while serving as Chair of the Medical Advisory Committee and a non-voting member of the Board. The Chief of Staff is an integral member of the QCH Senior Leadership Team. The Chief of Staff will champion QCH’s values of Collaboration, Accountability, Innovation, and Respect, while driving strategic initiatives that enhance patient care, foster physician wellness, and advance organizational priorities. This is an opportunity to influence major initiatives impacting physicians, mentor physician leaders, and shape a culture of excellence that extends beyond hospital walls. The successful candidate will work as Chief of Staff for up to four (4) days at QCH. Education & Experience The successful candidate will be a licensed physician in Ontario and will obtain/maintain active or associate privileges at QCH holding fellowship status with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or membership with the College of Family Physicians of Canada. A minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience and five (5) years of senior medical leadership experience are required, along with demonstrated expertise in governance, physician human resource management, and quality improvement. A master’s degree in administration or a health-related discipline and Canadian Certified Physician Executive designation are considered assets. Why Work at QCH?
