Overview Our client is the largest audiobook publisher in the world. The company is experiencing significant growth both organically and through acquisitions. They are seeking a strategic and experienced data leader to join its organization and drive enterprise-wide data management and analytics initiatives. Position Summary The Sr. Manager of Data Management & Analytics will report to the Senior Director of IT Operations and work closely with cross-functional teams including IT, Finance, Marketing, Operations, and Acquisitions. This role is responsible for the development and governance of the companies enterprise data and business intelligence strategy. The individual in this role will lead the integration and quality assurance of data across systems, manage a team responsible for reporting and analytics, and enable data-driven decision-making through advanced insights and visualization. Responsibilities • Leads the development and execution of a master data management (MDM) strategy across the organization. • Establishes and enforces data governance practices to ensure accuracy, consistency, and accessibility of enterprise data. • Collaborates with business stakeholders to define and document master data and process flows that support strategic objectives. • Oversees the integration of data from various enterprise sources and ensures reliability and timeliness for business intelligence use. • Implements controls and monitoring processes to ensure high data quality standards. • Directs the development and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and visualizations for executive and operational use. • Guides the adoption and expansion of business intelligence platforms and technologies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. • Leads advanced analytics initiatives including predictive modeling, machine learning, and AI-driven insights. • Communicates data strategy, progress, and results to executive leadership and key stakeholders. • Manages and mentors a cross-functional team of analysts, data scientists, and database administrators. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Administration, Statistics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. • Strong experience in data management, data governance, data architecture, or business intelligence roles. • At least 5 years in a leadership position overseeing enterprise data or BI programs. • Deep understanding of MDM concepts, data governance frameworks, and data quality practices. • Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and modern BI tools and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). • Strong project management skills with a proven ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously. • Demonstrated success in implementing advanced analytics solutions including AI and machine learning. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical topics to non-technical stakeholders. • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, evolving business environment. • Publishing industry experience is a plus, but not required.
