This role is essential in managing patient inquiries, scheduling appointments, and facilitating communication between patients and healthcare providers. What You'll Do: - You will greet and assist patients in a professional and courteous manner. - You will manage patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations. - You will handle patient inquiries via phone, email, and in-person with empathy and efficiency. - You will maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed. - You will collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate patient care and follow-ups. - You will ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and company policies. - You will support billing and insurance verification processes. - You will contribute to a positive team environment by communicating effectively and supporting colleagues. What You Bring: - Minimum of 2 years experience in a patient service or customer service role within healthcare. - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. - Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and scheduling software. - Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. - Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. - Empathy and patience when dealing with diverse patient populations. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in a hybrid work environment. - Knowledge of medical billing and insurance processes. - Bilingual abilities, especially in Spanish or other commonly spoken languages. - Certification in medical office administration or related fields.
