Role Overview: As a Patient Service Representative, you will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional service and support to ensure a smooth and positive healthcare experience. This role is essential in managing patient inquiries, scheduling appointments, and facilitating communication between patients and healthcare providers. What You'll Do: - You will greet and assist patients in a friendly and professional manner. - You will manage patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations. - You will handle patient inquiries via phone, email, and in-person with accuracy and empathy. - You will maintain patient records and ensure data accuracy in the system. - You will collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate patient care and follow-ups. - You will process patient payments and insurance information efficiently. - You will adhere to all healthcare regulations and company policies to ensure patient confidentiality. - You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance patient service quality. What You Bring: - Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare or customer service role. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-focused attitude. - Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and scheduling software. - Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. - High school diploma or equivalent; additional healthcare certifications are a plus. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting. - Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes. - Bilingual abilities, especially in Spanish or other commonly spoken languages. - Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient privacy standards.
