Quantum ePay is expanding its product and data capabilities and we are seeking a Business Analyst with deep experience in fintech, payments, and data-driven platforms. This role works cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Operations, and Executive leadership to gather, translate, and manage requirements across complex payment workflow initiatives. The ideal candidate has a strong analytical mindset, exceptional attention to detail, and experience supporting large-scale payment, dispute, or financial technology systems. This position is critical to enabling Quantum ePay's next phase of growth across payment processing, network integrations, AI/ML-driven decisioning, and client-facing product enhancements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Lead requirement gathering sessions with business stakeholders, technical teams, external partners, and customers. • Translate business needs into clear technical requirements, user stories, workflows, acceptance criteria, and documentation. • Support initiatives involving payment processing, issuer/acquirer workflows, chargebacks, dispute remediation, and merchant-facing tools. • Serve as a subject matter expert across payment network behavior (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover) and related fintech ecosystems. • Analyze data sets and transactional patterns to identify gaps, inconsistencies, or optimization opportunities. • Partner with engineering teams to ensure requirements are fully understood and implemented correctly. • Manage deliverables, timelines, and cross-team communication to ensure successful on-time releases. • Assist in validating features through test case creation, UAT coordination, and post-deployment verification. • Contribute to product roadmaps and strategic planning by providing insights grounded in data and customer needs. • Support initiatives involving AI/ML models, data normalization pipelines, and predictive analytics by helping define requirements and measurable outcomes. • Maintain high-quality documentation including SOPs, technical specs, business requirements, API requirements, and partner integration guides. QUALIFICATIONS • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in fintech, payments, merchant services, or financial systems. • Hands-on experience with payment processors, gateways, or networks (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Amex preferred). • Strong understanding of transaction lifecycles, authorization flows, settlement, chargebacks, alerts, and dispute processes. • Proven ability to gather, analyze, and translate complex business requirements into detailed technical artifacts. • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to work with structured and unstructured data sets. • Experience supporting or documenting AI/ML-driven features, model inputs/outputs, or predictive scoring systems. • Strong attention to detail, especially in deliverable creation, requirements traceability, and change management. • Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional initiatives with competing priorities. • Excellent communication skills; able to convey complex topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. • Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Figma, Postman, BI dashboards, and SQL (preferred). NICE TO HAVES • Experience with dispute management platforms or chargeback remediation tools. • Prior involvement in integrations with CRMs, processors, gateways, or data providers. • Knowledge of API-based architectures, webhooks, data pipelines, or event-driven systems (Kafka, queues, etc.). • Exposure to PCI DSS, security frameworks, or compliance-related documentation.
