We are currently seeking an Active Directory Expert to join one of our clients in the financial sector, a major international bank based in New York City. Context Our client, a major international bank, is looking for an Active Directory Migration Engineer to support a large-scale domain migration project across multiple regions (Spain, US, Mexico, and Canada). The consultant will be responsible for designing, executing, and documenting the migration of Active Directory environments, ensuring smooth synchronization and minimal disruption to production systems. Main responsibilities Local Responsibilities • Design and execute the Active Directory domain migration, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity throughout the process. • Define and validate technical and application requirements to prepare the migration plan • Perform GPO analysis and migration between domains, ensuring consistent policy enforcement. • Manage synchronization and reconciliation of AD structures between multiple environments. • Execute the technical migration of servers (development, pre-production, and production) from the legacy domain to the new domain. • Conduct post-migration validation and testing, ensuring full operational continuity. • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation of all migration processes and results. • Collaborate closely with infrastructure and application teams across different regions (Spain, US, Mexico, Canada). Global Responsibilities • Support global coordination and planning of the migration roadmap. • Ensure alignment with the bank’s global security and compliance standards. • Contribute to knowledge-sharing and lessons learned documentation for future migration projects. • Act as a technical advisor for Active Directory integration and optimization within a multi-domain environment. Profile • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience. • At least 5 years of experience in Active Directory design, administration, and migration within complex enterprise environments, ideally in the financial sector. • Proven hands-on experience in Active Directory domain migration (including trust relationships, schema updates, SID history, and GPO transfer). • Strong expertise in DNS, DHCP, replication, and authentication mechanisms. • Experience with multi-region coordination and cross-functional technical teams. • Excellent communication and documentation skills. • Fluent in English (C1 or above), the interview will be held in English. • Fluent in Spanish, both spoken and written.
