Position Overview Power your future with Qualus as a Project Manager in our Program Management organization. We are seeking a Project Manager to provide planning, management, and overall execution of a portfolio of gas transmission construction projects. This includes managing all activities related to project scope, schedule, cost/budget, construction, resources, procurement, and risk elements to optimize client service, quality and financial performance on large, complex and challenging projects. Responsibilities • Leads the planning and implementation of medium-large gas utility transmission projects ranging in complexity. • Supports business development by participating in project scoping, fee development, proposal preparation, interviews, negotiations, and contract development. • Reviews assigned project(s) after award to define project scope, determine work procedures/sequences and develops schedules, budgets, staffing, vendor lists and progress billing points. • Meets with client management as necessary during the term of a project to resolve issues and to obtain approvals at the project’s completion. • Maintains a continuing business relationship with clients as part of ongoing business development efforts. • Plans, organizes, communicates and coordinates project engagements. • Manages the day-to-day activities of project engagements including Clients and Project Teams. • Achieve project objectives including quality/scopes, budgets, and schedules. • Analyzes project performance and resource utilization. • Identifies potential out of scope work. • Manages, and negotiates contract change orders. • Identifies and manages project risk from the proposal phase through the construction of the project. • Trains, mentors, and oversees other Project Managers and conducts/participates in portfolio and project reviews. Qualifications • Bachelors of Science in engineering from an accredited college or university (preferred but not required) • PE (preferred but not required). • PMP (preferred but not required). • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience within the Gas utility industry and/or civil, utility construction experience. • Firm understanding of financial management. • Demonstrated capabilities and success in managing large multi-discipline programs, projects, multi-office projects, and/or multiple projects. • Strong skills in relationship development and management. #LI-SB1 Benefits & Compensation Qualus benefits offered include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short and Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays, for those who qualify.
