Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Vehicle Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and repair operations of our fleet. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and leadership capabilities, ensuring that all vehicles are maintained to the highest safety and performance standards. In this role, you will coordinate maintenance schedules, supervise technicians, and implement effective procedures to optimize vehicle reliability and longevity. Responsibilities • Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance programs for all fleet vehicles, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines. • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of maintenance technicians, providing training, mentorship, and performance evaluations. • Conduct inspections and diagnostics using tools such as power tools and ohmmeters to identify mechanical issues accurately. • Manage inventory of parts, tools, and equipment necessary for vehicle repairs and maintenance tasks. • Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies during all maintenance operations. • Maintain detailed records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance schedules to facilitate tracking and reporting. • Collaborate with procurement teams to source quality parts and tools while controlling costs effectively. Experience • Proven experience in vehicle maintenance management or a similar supervisory role within a fleet or automotive service environment. • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in vehicle repair, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance. • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment essential for vehicle troubleshooting. • Familiarity with maintenance management software or systems for scheduling and recordkeeping is preferred. • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a safety-conscious work environment. • Knowledge of industry safety standards, environmental regulations, and best practices in vehicle care. • Prior experience overseeing large fleets or multiple service locations is advantageous.
