The Role We’re hiring a Founding Head of GTM, a builder who wants to architect, run, and scale our entire go-to-market motion. You will report directly to the CEO and work closely with the founders and our GTM Engineers to drive the full customer journey. ICP → outbound → meetings → demos → contracting → closing → expansion. This is not a traditional sales role. This is a zero-to-one GTM architecture role with immense ownership and upside. You’ll define the playbook, build the system, and become the canonical GTM leader as we scale. If you thrive in ambiguity, move fast, write clearly, and love building machinery from scratch, you will excel here. Alternate titles: GTM Lead, Head of Sales, Head of Outbound, SDR Manager, Sales Lead, Account Executive (AE), Growth Lead. What You’ll Do Build the Outbound Engine Own ICP segmentation, account targeting, and persona mapping Architect and run outbound campaigns (email, sequences, experimentation) Build a repeatable pipeline-generation system from first principles Improve hit rates through constant testing and iteration Create Top-of-Funnel at Scale Hit monthly targets for enterprise and growth-stage meetings Own pipeline generation and early qualification Manage a small team of interns, contractors, or offshore sourcers Turn outbound from a founder-assisted motion into a self-sustaining engine Partner Directly with Founders Work hand-in-hand with the CEO on GTM strategy, positioning, and messaging Collaborate with GTM Engineers to improve GTM automated systems Bring market insights back to product and engineering to shape roadmap Run the Full Sales Process Conduct discovery, demos, and solution mapping Build ROI cases for customers Negotiate and close enterprise and mid-market contracts Develop repeatable closing motions as pipeline scales Own the System, Not Just the Activity Build dashboards, CRM hygiene processes, and reporting Write the canonical GTM playbook for future hires Improve GTM strategy week over week based on experiments and data What Success Looks Like (Your North Star) By Month 12, a strong GTM Lead will have: Built a self-running outbound system Delivered predictable monthly meetings (enterprise + growth) Generated $1M+ pipeline Closed multiple mid-market and enterprise accounts Significantly influenced messaging, ICP, and pricing strategy Become the natural leader of GTM as we scale Exceptional hires grow into VP GTM as the company expands. Who You Are A Builder You love creating systems from zero: messaging, ICP, outbound frameworks, playbooks, experiments. A Clear Writer You write crisp outbound messaging, cold emails, and GTM insights with precision. A Systems Thinker You can design an outbound engine — not just run one. A Fast Operator You move quickly, test constantly, and bias toward action. A GTM Athlete You’ve done some combination of: outbound SDR/BDR work AE-level closing sales engineering or technical GTM growth experimentation DevTools/QA/engineering-focused selling Comfortable Selling to Engineering Leaders You can speak credibly to Directors of Engineering, VPs, QA Managers, and CTOs. Ambitious You want ownership, influence, and meaningful upside — not just a quota.
