Deputy Director Salary Range: $85,000 - $115,000 QuadCom is currently accepting applications for the Deputy Director position. The Deputy Director serves as the second-in-command to the Director and assists in planning, organizing, staffing, and supervising all center operations. The role provides leadership for daily functions while promoting the organization’s vision to keep QuadCom at the forefront of the ever-changing public safety landscape. This position demands a forward-thinking, highly collaborative public safety professional capable of managing current operational needs while also helping to design and implement future projects. The position is salaried, requiring as many hours as necessary to fulfill the duties and responsibilities, with a minimum of 40 hours per week and 24 hours of on-call responsibility. The position is classified as managerial. Duties and Responsibilities: • Assist the Director with the overall administration of the center, including management of personnel and operations, as well as planning, organizing, staffing, and supervising the agency’s operations. • Support the Director by managing various short- and long-term projects involving Computer Aided Dispatch Systems and Mobile Data Terminals, development of future initiatives supporting interoperability and community resilience, while reviewing drafted budgets, system procedures, and interoperability programs. • Collaborate with IT and GIS administration to ensure the continuity of services. • The Deputy Director will collaborate with the Director on personnel-related concerns including disciplinary actions. • Oversee training and professional development to ensure initial, ongoing, and leadership-level education align with emerging public safety best practices. • Manage the completion of audio and information requests for participating departments and the public. • Manage the scheduling supervisor and approve monthly work schedules, vacations, and compensation time requests, while coordinating hours for part-time employees. • Be responsible for managing and troubleshooting various computer, radio, and telephone systems used at QuadCom. • Communicate with customer agencies regarding equipment and/or service issues. • Assist the Director with managing payroll, expenses, and other budgetary items. • Temporarily assume the responsibilities of the Director during their absence. • Attend operational, technical, and governance meetings as assigned and represent QuadCom on interagency committees and working groups. • Perform all other duties as assigned by the Director.
