Technology Operations (3rd Shift) 📍 US Remote | Central Time 🕥 Tuesday–Saturday | 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM 🚫 No visa sponsorship available A well-established financial services organization is hiring a senior-level Technology Operations professional to support a high-availability enterprise production environment during overnight hours. This role is ideal for an experienced production operations specialist who thrives in complex, multi-platform environments and is passionate about improving system reliability, reducing operational risk, and strengthening process maturity. About the Role This position serves as a senior technical presence within overnight Production Operations. The individual will monitor and support enterprise systems, respond to alerts, coordinate incident response efforts, and identify opportunities to transition the environment from reactive issue resolution to proactive performance optimization. The role requires collaboration across infrastructure, cloud, network, storage, and application teams to ensure operational readiness and platform stability. There are no direct reports associated with this position. Core Responsibilities • Monitor enterprise production systems across multiple platforms • Investigate and assess system alerts prior to escalation • Support incident, problem, and change processes • Identify recurring issues and recommend preventative improvements • Analyze performance metrics and capacity trends • Support batch processing and enterprise scheduling workflows • Perform troubleshooting across mainframe, cloud, Unix/Linux, Windows, storage, and network platforms • Assist with messaging services (MQ), file transfers, and system restarts when required • Participate in disaster recovery testing and production releases • Maintain operational documentation and develop runbooks • Escalate issues appropriately to ensure timely resolution Technical Environment • Mainframe (OS390, JCL, IBM utilities) • Linux / Unix • Windows Server • Enterprise Storage • Networking fundamentals • AWS Cloud • Enterprise Scheduling (UC4, Control-M or equivalent) • Monitoring & Observability tools (Splunk) • Messaging systems (MQ administration) • ITIL framework • Incident / Problem / Change Management • Financial systems / transaction processing environments Required Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field • 5+ years in enterprise Production Operations or Technology Operations • Multi-platform infrastructure support experience • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills • Experience supporting mission-critical systems • Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS required) • Experience in financial services or regulated industries preferred Ideal Candidate Profile • Strong operational mindset with focus on system stability • Comfortable working independently during overnight hours • Analytical thinker who identifies patterns and systemic risks • Effective communicator across technical teams • Practical, solutions-oriented approach • Experience working in 24x7 production environments Additional Notes • This is an overnight shift role (Tuesday–Saturday). • Occasional overtime may be required to support continuous operations. • Secure mobile access to corporate communication applications will be required upon hire.
