Position Overview We are seeking a highly motivated Project Leader at the level of Principal Scientist or Associate Director to drive innovative programs in Stem Cell & Regenerative Medicine. The successful candidate will lead a discovery teams from project initiation through preclinical candidate (PCC) nomination and IND filing, with a proven track record of translating discovery projects into the clinic. This role requires both deep scientific expertise and strong leadership skills to manage complex, cross-disciplinary projects in a fast-paced biotech environment. Key Responsibilities • Lead discovery and preclinical programs in stem cell and regenerative medicine (e.g., iPSC, MSC, or other cell-based platforms). • Drive projects from early concept initiation → PCC nomination → IND-enabling studies → IND submission. • Provide day-to-day scientific leadership and manage project teams, ensuring high-quality execution and timely milestones. • Collaborate with cross-functional groups (CMC, translational, regulatory, clinical) to enable seamless progression into clinical development. • Design and oversee in vitro and in vivo studies to assess safety, efficacy, and mechanism of action of cell therapy candidates. • Contribute to regulatory documentation, publications, and intellectual property filings. • Actively engage in external collaborations and stay current with emerging technologies in regenerative medicine. Qualifications • PhD (or equivalent degree) in stem cell biology, regenerative medicine, degenerative disease, or related discipline. • 7+ years of relevant experience in academic or biotech/pharma settings, with a focus on stem cell or regenerative medicine research. • Proven track record of leading projects through IND, with experience advancing at least one program into clinical development strongly preferred. • Strong background in stem cell biology (iPSC, MSC, or related platforms), gene editing and translational research. • Demonstrated leadership in leading project and teams, and ability to deliver results against timelines. • Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
