Department: Delivery Location: USA Remote Description Summary/Objective: We are seeking a highly experienced OpenText ECM Developer with 10+ years of enterprise content management experience to design, develop, and support advanced workflow-driven, form-based, and reporting solutions on the OpenText Content Server platform. This role requires strong hands-on expertise in OpenText Workflow, Forms, WebReports, and Answer Modules, along with the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable ECM solutions. Engagement Details: • Employment type: Temporary contract-1099 • Contract Duration: 6 months • Work Schedule: 75% (8-1 pm CST) • Work Location: Remote • Anticipated Start Date: Immediately Essential Functions • Design, configure, and develop OpenText workflows (map-based and rule-driven) to automate document-centric and business processes. • Implement advanced workflow features: • parallel and sequential approvals • conditional routing and escalation • role-based task assignment and delegation • Troubleshoot and optimize workflow performance, error handling, and long-running processes. • Design and develop OpenText Forms (classic or smart forms as applicable) for: • data capture • user-driven process initiation • metadata updates and validation • Implement client-side and server-side logic: • field validation • dynamic field behavior • integration with workflows and categories • Ensure forms meet usability, accessibility, and security standards. • Develop WebReports to support: • dynamic UI components • metadata-driven views • automated actions (create/update objects, trigger workflows) • Write and optimize LiveReports (SQL-based) for reporting, dashboards, and backend logic. • Ensure WebReports are performant, secure, and reusable across solutions. • Design and implement Answer Modules to extend Content Server functionality. • Develop server-side logic to: • expose custom APIs and endpoints • support complex business logic not achievable via configuration alone • Support integration points with external systems and applications as needed. • Collaborate with architects and integration teams to implement ECM extensions that align with overall solution architecture. • Participate in design reviews to ensure custom development follows best practices and minimizes technical debt. • Optimize workflows, forms, and reports for performance and scalability. • Lead development activities across Dev, QA, and Prod environments. • Support SIT, UAT, and production deployments. • Provide post-go-live support, including root-cause analysis and defect resolution. • Produce technical documentation, design specifications, and support runbooks. Skills, Knowledge, and Experience Experience • 10+ years of experience in Enterprise Content Management development. • 5+ years of hands-on development experience with OpenText Content Server and Answer Modules. • OpenText certifications are a plus.
