Primary Details Time Type: Full time Worker Type: Employee The Opportunity: The purpose of this role is to support underwriting operations by managing documentation, client records, and submissions, as well as assisting in the development of junior operations underwriters. Location: Chicago, IL - New York, NY - Atlanta, GA - Plano, TX - Boston, MA Work Arrangement: Hybrid or remote working expectations The salary range for this role is between $64,000 - $120,000 Your new role Support the lifecycle of policies from new business, Mid Term Adjustments (MTAs), and renewals through to their cancellation or lapse, including managing credit control activities and ensuring timely closings are received within 30 days of inception. Assist with underwriting new business, MTAs, and renewals following Governance Underwriting Standards and Product rules. Develop and maintain system and process knowledge within Distribution. Maintain current knowledge of insurance guidelines, policy changes, and modifications. Provide underwriting and claims customer service support to intermediary and direct customers. Comply with all legislation, industry codes, and company policies. Develop good working relationships and ensure timely communication with internal customers and stakeholders. Assist in identifying and implementing 'best practice' and process improvements to reduce expenses. Participate in internal and external meetings to share and develop strategy, knowledge, and best practices. Contribute to continuous quality improvement processes and self-learning. Work Experience: Preferred Work Experience includes: Some experience in a service industry in a similar role. Underwriting experience in insurance business with policy documentation handling experience. Customer service experience. Insurance support experience. Experience in the insurance industry. General Insurance background preferred but not required Qualifications: Necessary Qualifications include: Tertiary Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Compensation Package: The salary range for this role is provided above. This is the national range for location(s) listed. The salary offer will be decided based on the role's complexity, its location, and the candidate’s professional background, including their education and experience. Beyond the base salary, regular full-time and part-time employees will also be eligible for QBE’s annual discretionary bonus plan based on business and individual performance.
