The Role The Director, Talent and Culture will develop and implement strategies to enable FMC to engage and retain a robust talent pipeline while fostering an inclusive culture where everyone can thrive. This individual will be responsible for global talent programs and initiatives across FMC including performance management, talent reviews, and succession planning. Reporting to the Head of Talent Management, the Director, Talent and Culture will also lead the development and execution of FMC’s engagement, inclusion, and cultural initiatives, driving alignment with the organization’s core values and ensuring an environment where employees feel valued, empowered, and motivated to contribute their best. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a deep understanding of talent management programs and practices, and a track record of conceptualizing successful strategies and driving execution. Here’s What You’ll Do Performance Management Oversee the design and optimization of the performance management program (philosophy, tools, processes, and communications) to enable meaningful performance and development conversations that drive business and development outcomes. Develop and manage the annual performance management program to ensure timely execution of key activities such as goal setting, check-ins, performance reviews. Talent Review/Succession Planning Drive process that supports the identification and development of high performing and high potential talent that will enable a robust talent pipeline. Lead the development and implementation of succession planning programs, including identifying key roles, assessing talent, creating development plans, and monitoring progress to build a pipeline of global leaders. Assess talent health using data-driven insights (e.g., retention trends, bench strength, performance outcomes) to track the progress and success of talent initiatives and recommend strategies to bridge talent gaps. Employee Listening Own development and delivery of the employee listening program to understand and elevate the overall workforce experience. Implement a holistic set of employee listening programs (e.g., engagement surveys, exit surveys, focus groups) ensuring high-quality and well-coordinated execution. Translate data from employee listening programs into strategic people and culture interventions. Culture and Inclusion Promote and reinforce FMC’s cultures and values to enhance employee experience, inclusion, and organizational performance. Embed core cultural elements across talent programs and critical moments (e.g., hiring onboarding, exit). Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and Communications teams on employer and employee branding strategies, contributing to the company’s reputation as a great place to work. Oversee global Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), providing strategic direction and driving initiatives to foster inclusion and empowering all employees to thrive. Required Education Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree (Ph.D. or Master’s) preferred in an HR-related field (e.g., Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Human Resource Management, or Organizational Development). Qualifications 10+ years of progressive experience in talent management/HR business partner roles. Ability to balance strategy & execution to drive organizational change, cultural transformation and operational excellence. Experience in designing, building and implementing global people solutions. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management. Strong data analytic and storytelling capabilities with the ability to integrate data into insights to create future-focused, talent strategies. People manager experience preferred.
