These engineers will build and scale production systems serving millions of users while influencing architecture, technical direction, engineering quality, and product development. This role is designed for experienced engineers who can own technical problems end-to-end, work effectively across teams, and contribute to both system architecture and product execution within a high-growth technology environment. COMPENSATION • $205,000–$225,000 annual base salary • Equity • Relocation support available LOCATION / RELOCATION • New York City • Candidates must currently reside in the United States • Relocation support is available • Candidates requiring relocation must be able to relocate to New York City within 60 days POSITION OVERVIEW • Build scalable production systems serving millions of users and financial partners. • Influence system architecture and the technical roadmap. • Own complex technical problems from definition through implementation and production. • Drive engineering best practices and code quality. • Mentor engineers. • Partner with Product, Design, and Operations. • Help improve engineering processes across the organization. ENGINEERING OPPORTUNITIES • Borrower Acquisition • Borrower Activation • Compliance & Money Operations • Consumer Conversation (CONVO) • Client Experience (CX) CONSUMER CONVERSATION (CONVO) Engineers aligned to the Consumer Conversation team may work with: • Large Language Models (LLMs) • AI agents • Generative AI CLIENT EXPERIENCE (CX) Engineers aligned to Client Experience may focus on: • Data integrations • Client-facing engineering • Working directly with clients and non-technical teams Requirements Requirements • 5+ years of professional software-development experience REQUIRED • Computer Science degree REQUIRED • Strong software-engineering fundamentals REQUIRED • Experience building and operating production systems at scale REQUIRED • Experience with Python, React, Postgres, AWS, or comparable technologies REQUIRED • Strong written and verbal communication skills REQUIRED • Ability to own technical problems end-to-end REQUIRED • Must currently reside in the United States REQUIRED • Must be able to work from New York City and relocate within 60 days if relocation is required REQUIRED Preferred • Startup or founding-team experience • Engineering experience at a high-caliber technology company • AI / LLM experience • Experience building AI agents or Generative AI functionality • Data-integration experience • Client-facing engineering experience • Entrepreneurial projects, founding projects, or other evidence of initiative and ownership Work Authorization • H-1B transfers are supported • TN status is supported • New H-1B sponsorship is not available Not ready to formally apply?
