Several years of fleet or B2B sales experience in automotive, strong negotiation and relationship skills, technical understanding, and willingness to travel extensively.
Objective of the Position: Key Account Manager Fleet, will be responsible for establishing, maintaining, and strategically developing key customers in our vertical customer segment fleet. You will work closely with new fleet customers in relevant subsegments (service, workshop, logistic, pharmaceutical and public fleets) to increase sales performance, ensuring long-term partnerships and sustainable business growth. - - This position is located in Chicago, IL. Essential Accountabilities: The position incumbent ensures, that * Identify, establish, maintain, and strategically develop key customers in relevant segments/industries (e.g., service, workshop, logistic, pharmaceutical and public fleets) * Develop individual sales strategies for each subsegment / customer with a focus on sustainable sales growth * Negotiate sales contracts and pricing structures based on market conditions * Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, finance, and product management, to tailor fleet solutions * Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to adjust fleet sales strategies accordingly * Support digitalization and process optimization within the fleet sales * Contribute to department and company improvement projects as required. * Comply with Eberspaecher’s environmental, health & safety, recycling, sustainability efforts and quality assurance policies and standards. Report any issues not in compliance to supervisor or department manager. * Conduct and promote work in a safe and responsible manner and report any safety concerns immediately to the supervisor, department manager or a member of the Environmental Health & Safety Committee. Wear appropriate PPE and operate electric or manual material handling equipment in a safe manner in accordance with standards and procedures. * Participate in company-sponsored training relating to administration, safety and quality, and any other mandated education and training. * Maintain work area and physical plant in a neat, clean and orderly condition. * Uphold Eberspaecher’s environmental and quality policies to limit the impact on its operations on the environment and prevent pollution through technological innovation and process efficiency by participating fully in Eberspaecher’s environmental and recycling programs as required on a daily basis. * Perform any other duties as required. Secondary Accountabilities: The position incumbent ensures, that * Self-starter * Excellent interpersonal, negotiation skills with a professional demeanor. * Solid sales and technical background * Strong analytical acumen and used to working with structured reporting systems. * Outstanding dealer management and new dealer development ability * Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibility and effectively at all levels of the organization. * Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close. * Collaborative work style with strong relationship building skills * Possess a high proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office and CRM products Requirement Profile: Professional Background / Basic Qualification / Work Experience: * Degree in Business Administration, Automotive Management, Sales, or a related field Technical Expertise: * Several years of experience in fleet sales or B2B sales within the mobility / automotive industry * Strong negotiation and relationship management skills with hunter mentality * Understanding of technical systems and digital business models * Excellent market knowledge and understanding of fleet business dynamics * Self-driven and goal-oriented with a proactive approach to business development * Willingness to travel approx. 80%
