About the Role: The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant role is vital to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care within our corporate health setting. In this position, the practitioner will conduct comprehensive patient assessments, diagnose medical conditions, and develop individualized treatment plans aimed at achieving optimal health outcomes. Collaboration with multidisciplinary team members is essential to maintain continuity of care and ensure adherence to established clinical protocols. Responsibilities also include patient education, preventive health services, and chronic disease management to support long-term wellness. Minimum Qualifications: • Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license in the state of Michigan. • Master’s degree from an accredited NP or PA program. • Certification by a nationally recognized certifying body (e.g., AANP, NCCPA). • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification. • Minimum of two years clinical experience in a primary care or related healthcare setting. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience working in a corporate or occupational health environment. • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms. • Additional certifications in specialty areas such as cardiology, endocrinology, or occupational medicine. • Strong background in chronic disease management and preventive care strategies. • Demonstrated leadership or mentorship experience within a clinical team. Responsibilities: • Perform thorough physical examinations and obtain detailed patient histories to inform clinical decision-making. • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, prescribing medications and therapies as appropriate within scope of practice. • Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests and laboratory results to monitor patient progress. • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans. • Provide patient education on health maintenance, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions. • Document all patient encounters accurately and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies. • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and protocols. Skills: The required clinical skills enable the practitioner to perform accurate patient assessments, make informed diagnoses, and develop effective treatment plans daily.
