The Puget Sound Clean Air Agency is a regional government agency created in 1967. Our jurisdiction covers King, Kitsap, Pierce and Snohomish counties. We achieve our mission by monitoring air quality, sponsoring voluntary initiatives, educating people and businesses about air quality issues, and enforcing state and federal air quality laws. Our Agency is composed of approximately 70 staff members in two main divisions, Compliance and Air Quality Programs. Agency roles include: inspectors, air resource specialists, engineers, meteorologists, monitoring technicians, project managers and communications. Our operations are supported by a team of specialists, as well as IT services, human resources, legal, records management, finance and administrative staff. The Opportunity The Puget Sound Clean Air Agency seeks an experienced and detail-orientated Records Administrator to ensure proper maintenance of Agency electronic and paper records in accordance with the State of Washington’s retention requirements and the Washington State Public Records Act and to assist with fulfilling public records requests. This position reports to the Compliance Systems & Administrative Services Manager and works in partnership with the Agency’s General Counsel and our Public Records Officer. The Records Administrator position is a unique opportunity for a dedicated individual to use their experience to support the work of the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency. This is an ideal opportunity to combine your passion for records management with your desire to work on behalf of the public, public health and the environment. The selected candidate will be well-versed in state regulatory requirements for records retention and disposition. Experience in classifying, indexing, filing, storing and retrieving records is vital for success in this position. The Agency supports a work/life balance by maintaining a 38.75-hour work week, and no requirement to work nights or weekends. The Records Administrator position is represented by the Teamsters Local 763. This is primarily an in-office position in our downtown Seattle office. Some telework may be available after a training period and depending on Agency business needs. All Agency employees are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
