Responsibilities include creating, maintaining, and enhancing Power BI dashboards and Power Platform applications in both test and production environments. Job Description This role supports internal and external projects by developing solutions using Power BI, Power Platform, and Excel. Responsibilities include creating, maintaining, and enhancing Power BI dashboards and Power Platform applications in both test and production environments. The position also involves performing data analysis using Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization techniques. The candidate will troubleshoot issues, manage production changes following lifecycle and risk guidelines, and act as a subject matter expert for assigned systems. They will also support internal users, assess new software tools, and contribute to technical solution design and client needs assessments. Works with internal and external clients to identify application and analytical requirements, with a focus on Power BI reporting and analytics. Duties and Responsibilities Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather business and analytical requirements, with a focus on data-driven decision-making. Design and develop dashboards and reports using Power BI. Clean, transform, and model data using Power BI and DAX to create calculated columns, measures, and relationships. Develop and optimize SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and user-defined functions to support reporting and analytics. Perform data analysis using Excel, including pivot tables, advanced formulas, and charts to support reporting needs. Document processes and standards for creating and maintaining Power BI reports and Excel-based analysis tools. Conduct unit testing and support QA efforts to ensure accuracy and quality of Power BI and Excel solutions. Lead special projects, delegate tasks, and deliverables meet business needs and timelines. Stay current with Power BI updates, Microsoft Fabric, and industry trends to continuously improve BI capabilities. All other duties as assigned. The position is remote, with occasional domestic travel for team and client meetings as needed, no more than once per month. Required Skills Proficient in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service, including report creation, publishing, and workspace management. Solid understanding of DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query (M language) for data modeling and transformation. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization techniques. Experience with data modeling, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and performance tuning to optimize report efficiency and accuracy. Ability to design and manage relationships, hierarchies, and metadata in Power BI datasets. Proficiency in SQL and working with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Azure SQL, Synapse). Ability to create visually compelling and user-friendly dashboards. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science) or equivalent experience (6+ years) in a technical or analytical role. Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI, including building dashboards, data modeling, and visualization. 3+ years of experience working as a data analyst, with proven ability to interpret data, identify trends, and deliver actionable insights using tools like Excel and Power BI.
