Job Description Qualifications or Skill Required: Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience. Education equivalent to a complete accredited apprenticeship training. A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in Quality Control in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of Inspection and Quality Control methods, techniques and equipment. Knowledge of use of a wide variety of measuring instruments and complicated drawings. Knowledge of 8D, FMEA, IATF 16949, ISO 9001, Process Writing, Gauges, Calibration Leadership Ability Must have the following computer skills: Excel, Power Point, Word, Pareto Analysis Responsibilities: • Responsible for directing and supervising a group of employees involved in inspection and quality control procedures with regard to in-process material and finished products to assure that quality control standards are achieved. • Plan, assign, and training work of subordinates. • Develop and/or adapt inspection equipment to meet quality control standards, make suggestions with regard to procedures, standards and equipment to facilitate work and maintain product quality. • Analyze facts or circumstances surrounding individual problems to determine what action should be taken within the limits of standard practices. • Responsible for compilation and maintenance of work instructions, inspection reports and records. • Investigate and determine cause of faulty work and consult and advise production supervisors as to corrective measures. • Maintain discipline, morale and harmonious relations among subordinates in a fast-past environment. • Investigate and adjust personnel problems within area of responsibility. Effectively recommend as to hiring, promotions, wage adjustments and terminations. • Maintain professional and effective communication with on-site customer with regards to all quality issues.
