We provide transportation services to a wide range of industries-from steel and building supplies to bread and ice cream. With great drivers, great equipment, and a rapidly growing business, we are looking for a skilled Logistics Supervisor to join our dedicated fleet operation in Branchburg, NJ. Position Overview The Logistics Supervisor will oversee a midsize driver team to ensure safe, reliable, and on-time freight movement. This role requires strong leadership, customer service focus, and the ability to manage compliance, routing, and day-to-day fleet operations. You will play a critical role in supporting our customers, building driver relationships, and contributing to PTG's operational excellence. Key Responsibilities • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with drivers and carriers to minimize turnover and maximize productivity. • Assign loads, plan routes, and monitor freight movement to meet customer expectations. • Manage exceptions, delays, and driver ETA adjustments to keep operations running smoothly. • Promote safety culture through daily messaging, training, reviews, and DOT compliance. • Resolve service, routing, equipment, or pay issues quickly and effectively. • Oversee yard and equipment inspections, repairs, and maintenance scheduling. • Handle administrative tasks such as payroll, budgeting, driver counseling, reporting, and P&L analysis. • Track and report key performance indicators and operational trends to senior management. • Partner with customers and internal teams to continuously improve fleet operations and profitability. Qualifications • High School Diploma/GED required; 3+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or operations management/supervision. • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail. • Financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and analyze P&L. • Proficiency in computer systems and software. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to think strategically.
