Job Description Providential Construction Group (PCG) is a growing commercial construction company looking for a detail-oriented Estimator / Preconstruction Manager to support our project pipeline. This is a part-time, fully remote role focused on pricing, scopes, takeoffs, bid requests, and preconstruction coordination. If you’re organized, sharp with numbers, and can build clean, accurate estimates while communicating clearly with vendors and internal team members, you’ll do well here. Responsibilities • Create estimates for Commercial projects (labor + materials) • Review plans, photos, and scopes to build accurate takeoffs and pricing • Prepare proposal documents, bid packages, and scope sheets • Send bid requests to subcontractors and vendors; track responses • Compare bids, level scopes, and identify gaps/exclusions • Update and maintain estimating templates, pricing lists, and vendor contacts • Support preconstruction tasks: scheduling site walks (as needed), clarifying scope, and ensuring readiness for production Requirements • Experience with estimating or preconstruction in construction (preferred) • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines • Comfortable communicating with GC/vendors by phone and email • Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills • Reliable internet and ability to work independently Nice to Have • Experience with tools like: PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Stack, Houzz Pro, JobTread, Buildertrend, CoConstruct, or similar • Knowledge of rehab/renovation estimating • Experience building scopes of work for subcontractors Schedule • Flexible schedule • 20–25 hours per week • Must be responsive during normal business hours (at least a few hours/day) How to Apply Please submit: • Your resume • A short message describing your estimating/preconstruction experience • (Optional) An example of an estimate, takeoff, or scope sheet you’ve created (redact any private details) Job Type: Part-time Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week Work Location: Remote
