Description Health Information Management Representative at St. Joseph Hospital Eureka, CA. This position is full time and will work 8-hour, Day shifts. Under the immediate supervision of the Health information Management Department Manager, the Health Data Coordinator I performs complex functions necessary to ensure a complete and integrated health record in compliance with Medical Staff Bylaws, hospital policies and procedures, and state and federal regulations. They process and fulfill requests for medical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations, organizational policies, and legal requirements. Required qualifications: • Coursework/Training: Completed a medical terminology class or complete within 1 year of hire • 1 year of Medical record or related health care experience Preferred qualifications: • Coursework/Training: Post high school education that demonstrates the ability to problem solve through critical thinking • Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) - American Health Information Management Association upon hire Why Join Providence? Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
