Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 4+ years healthcare revenue cycle experience, leadership experience preferred, and knowledge of complex billing rules and specialty service lines.
Description: • Direct operational accountability for billing and follow-up for multiple service lines of business across Swedish acute ministries. • Oversee billing and collections for assigned payers across hospitals, critical access hospitals, rural health clinics, provider-based clinics, and professional fee billing. • Manage denial management, reporting, and reimbursement recovery activities. • Support specialty service lines including Clients, Third Party Liability, Behavioral Health, Research, and Global/Bundle arrangements. • Assist in developing and executing strategic plans to accomplish goals for commercial, other government and specialty service lines, in partnership with Providence RCS Services leaders. • Supervise and coordinate workflows, ensure regulatory compliance (CAH, SNF, RHC, provider-based rules), and drive revenue-cycle improvements. Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Healthcare Management, or related field --or-- equivalent education and experience • Demonstrated experience in managing all aspects of billing follow-up, denial management – reporting and reimbursement recovery • Experience with patient accounting, third-party payor billing and EDI billing in a business office that supports a multiple hospital healthcare system • Experience with Critical Access Hospital (CAH) billing and collections and CAH regulatory guidelines • Knowledge of Swing bed rules, SNF billing rules and follow-up processes, SNF consolidated billing rules • Knowledge of Rural Health Clinic rules and Provider Based Clinic rules in a CAH setting • Experience with Professional fee billing in clinical and Acute Hospital settings • Knowledge of Medicaid TAD claim submission rules, CAH Method I and Method II Billing rules, CRNA Pass Through Exemption • Demonstrated experience with specialty service lines including Clients, Third Party Liability, Behavioral Health, Research, and Global/Bundle arrangements • Preferred: 4 years related experience in healthcare, revenue cycle or finance • Preferred: 3 years leadership experience • Preferred: Epic experience • Preferred: Experience with Reference Lab Billing rules Benefits: • The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. • Providence offers a comprehensive benefits package including a retirement 401(k) Savings Plan with employer matching. • Health care benefits (medical, dental, vision). • Life insurance. • Disability insurance. • Time off benefits (paid parental leave, vacations, holidays, health issues). • Voluntary benefits. • Well-being resources. • Best-in-class benefits designed to support you and your family.
