This is a fixed hybrid role on-site Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday at HQ in Maple Plain MN. We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our expanding team. This position will work closely with IT, development, as well as other technology stakeholders to maintain, develop, and support our growing internal and external business applications at Protolabs. \n What You'll Do Part of a team responsible for the effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of version control systems, build tools, and continuous integration tools Work closely with development teams to support applications and promote Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices Continuously identify ways to improve deployment reliability and reduce the level of manual intervention required Design and implement high-availability solutions, including load balancer configurations Participate in 24/7 support coverage for your area of responsibility, including occasional after-hours work and on-call duties. What It Takes Bachelor’s degree or 3–5 years of relevant work experience 3+ years of experience managing servers in an enterprise environment 2+ years of experience supporting code releases for highly available applications 1+ year of experience supporting server configuration management tools 1+ year of experience supporting highly available applications Strong ability to identify manual processes and automate them to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability Preferred Skills and Technologies: Configuration Management Ansible Terraform Continuous Deployment Azure DevOps GitHub Load Balancing HAProxy API Development and Integration JSON REST Code Versioning Git Microservices and Container Orchestration Kubernetes Operating Systems and Security Linux OS hardening and security Cloud Management AWS Azure What's In It For You? Actual pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, job function, work experience, specialized skills, training, education, and certifications. \n Proto Labs maintains ITAR-compliant operations in all of our United States based facilities. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
