Job Description Job Purpose The Quality Control Lead Technician plays a key role in maintaining product quality and compliance within our manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for overseeing quality control activities, coordinating daily inspection schedules, and ensuring that all products meet customer requirements and AS9100D standards. Duties and Responsibilities • Plan and schedule daily quality inspection activities to support production needs. • Coordinate inspection priorities and assign tasks to quality control team members. • Complete inspection planning and review inspection documentation for accuracy and completeness. • Perform and oversee first article inspections in accordance with AS9102 requirements. • Facilitate new product integration and verification activities within the production environment. • Perform first part, in-process, and final inspections to ensure compliance with specifications. • Ensure inspection equipment is properly calibrated and facilitate calibration activities. • Support and lead root cause and corrective action (RCCA) initiatives. • Maintain inspection schedules, monitor progress, and communicate status updates to production and management. • Accurately complete and review manufacturing and inspection documentation. • Serve as the primary point of contact between production, engineering, and quality teams regarding inspection-related issues. • Provide training and guidance to other technicians as needed to support consistent inspection practices. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). • Proficient in dimensional inspection of detail parts and assemblies. • Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Effective written and verbal communication. • Strong leadership and coordination abilities. • Ability to work collaboratively across departments. • Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week and manage shifting priorities. Qualifications • High School Diploma/GED required. • 3+ year of manufacturing experience (required). • Experience in quality inspection or quality assurance roles preferred. • Leadership experience preferred • CMM experience preferred Working Conditions The Quality Control Lead Technician will work in the quality assurance department, machine shop, and molding environment. This is a hands-on role requiring frequent interaction with production personnel and management.
