Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technical services (www.protecnium.com/en). We are currently looking for a CAD Technician to join our team for a Tunnel Construction Project in New Jersey, United States. • Contract Type: Freelance • Location: Remote • Project: Tunnel Construction Project • Estimated duration of the position: 2 years - In general, when the project ends, we try to place the employee in other projects to give him/her continuity. • Summary: The CAD Technician supports engineering, construction, and surveying teams by producing accurate technical drawings and models for tunnel works, temporary structures, and associated infrastructure. This role is key to ensuring design consistency, constructability, and compliance with project standards. • Responsibilities: • Prepare and update CAD drawings for tunnel alignment, shafts, temporary works, and plant installations. • Support civil, structural, electrical, and mechanical teams with coordinated design documentation. • Develop detailed shop drawings, as-built drawings, and revisions based on field data. • Integrate survey information into design models and verify dimensional accuracy. • Maintain drawing registers and document control standards. • Ensure compliance with project specifications and U.S. standards. • Requirements: • A minimum of 4 years of experience as a CAD Technician in tunnel/highway/bridge or heavy civil construction projects. • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying, Architecture, or similar. • Working knowledge and experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D software. • High-Intermediate (B2)-Advanced Level (C1) of English. • Working hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours weekly. • Benefits: • Working for an international company currently expanding. • Opportunity to work on a key tunnel infrastructure project from a remote environment.
