As a Solutions Engineer, you will be at the technical forefront of customer engagements — helping leading semiconductor, automotive, datacenter, and communications companies understand, evaluate, and successfully adopt proteanTecs’ solutions. In this role you’ll act as the technical partner to Sales, orchestrating the engineering side of the sales cycle and your main goal will be to turn complex technology into clear value — guiding customers from concept and feasibility to conviction and adoption. Key Responsibilities Lead the technical discovery process with chip design, DFT, and test teams to understand architecture and requirements. Present tailored solution proposals, including technical demos, block-level feasibility, and data flow validation. Guide customers through evaluation and proof-of-concept, defining measurable success criteria and ensuring technical credibility. Collaborate closely with Sales, R&D, Product Management, and Customer Success to align on value delivery and technical execution. Own the “Conviction Process” — coordinate internal stakeholders to ensure pre-sales engagements are value-aligned, feasible, and executable. Translate customer feedback into product insights and roadmap recommendations. Build technical collateral: presentations, system diagrams, and ROI models for customers and field teams. Support post-sales transition to Customer Success and Applications Engineering teams for smooth handoff and project continuity. What Success Looks Like Customers achieve “value conviction” — measurable belief in proteanTecs’ fit for their SoC design and business goals. Seamless collaboration between field, R&D, and analytics teams. Repeated design wins, successful proof-of-concepts, and expanding customer engagements. Strong trust relationships with customer engineering leaders and decision-makers. Requirements B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or equivalent). 7+ years of experience in semiconductor design or chip architecture. Excellent presentation and communication skills — able to explain complex technical topics to diverse audiences. Proven track record in customer-facing technical roles such as Application Engineer, Field Engineer, or Solution Architect. Strong understanding of SoC design flows, RTL integration, and silicon bring-up. Experience in advanced semiconductor-based Power and/or Reliability challenges and solutions. Curiosity, problem-solving mindset, and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment. Preferred Experience Semiconductor IP pre-sales or applications engineering. Hands-on familiarity with EDA tools (Synopsys, Cadence, Siemens, etc.). Background in reliability, yield, or margin analysis. Exposure to analytics, telemetry, or adaptive systems.
