Description This role is ideal for an empirically-driven engineer who thrives at the intersection of system building and applied machine vision, balancing robustness with innovation. As a member of the technical staff at ProSights, you’ll enhance our proprietary data extraction and orchestration technology that is universally used by a wide range of users across investment teams and data science teams. Own the extraction domain end-to-end, driving advances in computer vision and document understanding-from shaping business requirements to building scalable infrastructure. Transform unstructured real-world inputs (PDFs, images, spreadsheets, JSON) into structured data through layout analysis and heuristic tagging. Work across every element of a document-nested sub-tables, unlabeled charts, page headers, sentences, file names. Contribute throughout the entire product lifecycle, from early research prototypes to production-ready deployments. Who We’re Looking For Builder Mindset: You thrive in ambiguous startup environments, wearing multiple hats, and making high-velocity progress. Scientific Rigor, Pragmatic Execution: You design experiments carefully, but know when to ship and iterate. Full-Stack Data Fluency: You are comfortable wrangling your own datasets, evaluating models, writing APIs, and building pipelines end-to-end. Qualifications Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science or related field. 3+ years of experience as a Software Engineer or Data Scientist in computer vision related domain. Demonstrated experience in OCR pipelines, document ingestion, and LLM-based programming. Strong Python background. Early stage startup experience preferred.
