Location: Remote - Ohio Department: HR Talent Acquisition Weekly Hours: 40 Status: Full time Shift: Days (United States of America) Job Summary: We’re looking for a detail-oriented and people-focused Onboarding Coordinator to join our Talent Acquisition (TA) team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in creating a smooth, compliant, and welcoming onboarding experience for new hires and internal transfers. You’ll coordinate and track all pre-employment requirements — from background checks and I-9 verification to professional license validation and occupational health clearance — ensuring everything is complete before a team member’s first day. Working closely with Human Resources (HR), TA, Employee Health, and department leaders, you’ll help maintain compliance, accuracy, and a positive candidate experience every step of the way. This role is remote but requires weekly on-site presence at The Toledo Hospital. Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the hospital. Required Qualifications Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. High school diploma and 2 years directly related HR, Recruitment, or Onboarding experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. 1–3 years of customer service experience in a high-volume environment. Must reside within commuting distance to Toledo Hospital for weekly on-site work. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality. Preferred Qualifications 1–3 years of experience in HR, onboarding, or healthcare compliance preferred. Working knowledge of employment eligibility verification (I-9/E-Verify), healthcare credentialing, and pre-employment health requirements. Familiarity with HRIS/ATS platforms and document management systems. Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
