Senior Embedded Software Engineer Location: Hybrid (Location Portland) Pay: $60–70 per hour Engagement Type: 3–6 Month Contract WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING We’re looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer with strong expertise in Linux, Python, and C to join our client’s team. In this role, you’ll: • Design, develop, test, and debug embedded software from requirements to commercial deployment • Optimize performance, scalability, and system stability • Support QA and improve I/O performance • Collaborate closely with hardware teams to ensure seamless system integration • Review designs and code to maintain best practices in embedded software engineering This is a high-impact role where you’ll directly shape product reliability, scalability, and performance. WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR Must-Haves • 5+ years of embedded software engineering experience with Linux (Kernel) • Strong hands-on programming experience in Python and C • Embedded systems design background with real-time operating systems (RTOS) • Knowledge of OS coding techniques, IP protocols, hardware subsystems Nice-to-Haves • Qt framework experience • JavaScript/jQuery skills • SQL Server database development/management • Familiarity with Azure or IIS-based website implementation WHY YOU’LL LOVE THIS ROLE This is a chance to work on cutting-edge embedded Linux systems with a mix of autonomy and collaboration.
