Profiles is hiring a Sr. Account Strategist on a direct-hire basis for an agency client located in Portland, ME. Notes: • 100% Remote with occasional visits to the office, paid for by the company. • Must be East Coast • If you would like to relocate to the Portland, ME area, a relocation package can be provided, but relocation is not necessary. Summary: In your capacity as Sr. Strategic Account Manager, you'll drive media accounts forward through deep relationship management, scope management, and the ability to make strategic media recommendations through research and a deep understanding of the digital media landscape. You'll be the connective tissue between the client and our internal media specialists, helping ensure we deliver high-quality work that aligns with what the client needs, not just what they ask for. A successful candidate is well organized, an expert expectation setter, and loves thinking deeply about media strategy. Responsibilities: • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, building trusted relationships rooted in clarity, confidence, and candor • Translate media strategy into plain language, helping clients understand the "why" behind our recommendations • Work directly with our Head of Strategy to understand client business objectives and ensure our media strategy remains aligned with the client's KPIs • Conduct deep market research for your clients and analyze the latest trends to ensure our channel strategy best supports their initiatives • Understand the media landscape deeply, using your knowledge across direct-to-publisher work, programmatic, digital, and linear to make informed decisions regarding channel strategy for our clients based on their needs • Protect scope and value. Proactively identify when to ask to exceed what’s been agreed to, and help guide clients toward the right path forward • Lead strategic check-ins, not just status updates. Each client touchpoint should reinforce strategic alignment and forward momentum • Partner with channel leads (programmatic, paid social, linear, etc.) to ensure client priorities are clearly communicated and campaign outcomes are delivered • Gather insights on media performance from vendors and buyers to support the development of performance reporting with a sharp eye for storytelling and strategic insight • Contribute to ongoing process improvement. Help us build systems that make client communication smoother and more scalable Qualifications: • 5-7+ years of experience • Has managed previously (will manage 1 FTE and also manage media vendors and contractors). • Experienced in delegating tasks. • Previous significant client management experience • Has managed media budgets of 2mil or more • 3+ years of experience in an agency setting • Should be very comfortable conducting media strategy across linear, programmatic, and digital media. • Experience Working in DSP’s (Trade Desk, Nexxen, Stack Adapt) • Client management experience • Very comfortable presenting to clients • Expectation setting with clients • Reporting platforms – Tap clicks (data viz tool), Tableau, Excel • Comfortable working in a PM tool (Click Up is preferred but not mandatory). • Previous experience consulting on media strategy • Preferred – IAB certifications
