Process medical claims, work with insurance companies and patients to resolve billing issues, review and appeal denied claims, and handle collections on unpaid accounts.
2-5 years outpatient medical billing experience, medical coding and billing certification, knowledge of ICD-10 codes and healthcare regulations, proficiency with Microsoft Office and EMR systems, strong communication and attention to detail.
Professional Health Care of Pinellas is seeking Medical Billers to complete billing department tasks including but not limited to working directly with insurance companies, healthcare providers and patients to process claims. Review and appeal unpaid and denied claims, answer patient billing questions and process collections on unpaid accounts. Qualifications: 2-5 years of Outpatient Medical Billing experience. Must have Medical Coding and Billing Specialist Certification. Prefer experience with Managed Care, Commercial and Government Payors. Thorough knowledge of ICD 10 Codes, Medical Terminology and healthcare regulations. Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures in Medical Billing. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel and Word). Strong attention to detail and task oriented. Experience with EMR systems - prefer experience with eClinicalWorks.
